An enthusiastic response at the Cinéma des Antipodes festival in St Tropez last month has led to interest from other festivals. There will be 2 presentation screenings with Q&A at the Rencontres Cinématographiques de Cannes on 20 Nov.

Life is a very strange thing has been invited to screen at the 2018 Rencontres Internationales du Cinéma des Antipodes to be held at St Tropez in October.

We are saddened to hear that Frédéric's father, Charles Duvelle, has passed away. Charles features prominently in the film and it was a privilege to get to know him. It is humbling to know that our interviews with him were the last that would be filmed.

An exquisite book of photos taken by Frédéric's father Charles Duvelle has been published by Sublime Frequencies.

The photos are from the two decades Charles spent recording traditional music throughout the world and some of them appear in Life is a Very Strange Thing.
